چکیده

Prolonged sitting appears to accelerate aging, while optimal physical activity patterns have been found delay the process. It is an emerging topic, and no conclusions reached regarding relationship between biomarkers-measured aging. Hence, aim of this study was investigate association sensor-based objectively measured phenotypic age using a nationwide population from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in United States. Weighted linear regression models were performed evaluate sedentary behavior, light-intensity (LPA), moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) age. A total 6439 eligible participants included weighted respondents 49,964,300. Results showed that prolonged positively associated with fully adjusted model [β (95% CI): 0.009(0.007,0.011), p < 0.001], increasing volume LPA MVPA younger −0.010(-0.013,-0.006), 0.001; −0.062(-0.075,-0.048), 0.001]. By utilizing Isotemporal Substitution Model, it replacing 30 minutes behavior or per day estimated 0.4 1.9 years reduction. According study's findings, maintaining certain level could process aging intensity matters.

During Ramadan fasting quantity and quality of dietary intake may change. There was no data on nutrient patterns in Ramadan fasting. The purpose of this study was to identify Ramadan major nutrient patterns among those who fast in Tehran, Iran. 510 fasting people aged 18-65 years and BMI 18.5-40 Kg/m2 were recruited in our study by 2-stage cluster sampling method in June-July 2014. Data on the ...

The effects of daily weather on accelerometer-measured physical activity.

BACKGROUND This study analyzes Chicago-area weather effects on objectively measured physical activity over a 3-year period among a cohort of 241 participants in an on-going arthritis physical activity trial. METHODS Uniaxial accelerometer counts and interview data were analyzed for up to 6 weekly study waves involving 4823 days of wear. The effects of temperature, rainfall, snowfall and dayli...

Associations of sedentary behavior and physical activity with older adults’ physical function: an isotemporal substitution approach

BACKGROUNDS The purpose of this study was to examine, in a sample of Japanese older adults, the associations of objectively-assessed sedentary behavior (SB) and physical activity (PA) with performance-based physical function. The isotemporal substitution (IS) approach was used to model simultaneously the effects of the specific activity being performed and the activity being displaced, in an eq...

Markers of adiposity among children and adolescents: implications of the isotemporal substitution paradigm with sedentary behavior and physical activity patterns

BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to examine the association between daily movement patterns and dual energy X-ray absorptiometry-determined body fat percent (DXA-BF%) among children and adolescents while applying both traditional and novel analytical procedures. METHODS Using data from the cross-sectional 2003-2006 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (n = 5607), physical ...

Individual Characteristics Associated with Mismatches between Self-Reported and Accelerometer-Measured Physical Activity

BACKGROUND Accurate assessment tools are required for the surveillance of physical activity (PA) levels and the assessment of the effect of interventions. In addition, increasing awareness of PA is often used as the first step in pragmatic behavioural interventions, as discrepancies between the amount of activity an individual perceives they do and the amount actually undertaken may act as a ba...
